EXKAL has participated in STORY project, within the framework of the European Union H2020 programme.

EXKAL, CENER and GREEN RENOVABLES, participated in mid-May at the meeting that gave start to the European project STORY (Added value of storage in distribution systems). This innovative project is the integration of systems in distribution networks. The meeting was held at the facilities of the research center VTT in Finland.

The main objective of STORY, which is part of the H2020 program of the European Union, is to show the added value of energy storage in the power supply system to ensure that this is increasingly sustainable, flexible and secure.

The project will establish a roadmap that will increase the competitiveness of European companies in the storage area, as they will perform analysis of business models, as well as a study of how it affects the outcome of conditions that involve both the regulatory framework and the market.

The project consortium consists of 17 members, coming both from the field of research and from different companies. As the only Spanish partners and businesses involved EXKAL, CENER and GREEN RENEWABLE.

The project, which is the largest dimension being done on storage at this point in the EU, will last for 60 months and has a budget of over 15 million euros.
